A brilliant daywith the family exploring Durmitor National Park, #Montenegro; some excellent wildlife chanced upon, with Pine Marten, Red Squirrel, Golden Eagle, Griffon Vulture, White-backed Woodpecker, Sombre Tit...best of all a WOLF glimpsed as we left the park! What a place!

Explored the South Cumbrian coastal limestone recently, rewarded with 3 rare endemic species; Lancastrian Whitebeam, Small Spotted Hawkweed & Humphrey Head Hawkweed (the latter prob restricted to around 250 plants globally), also Spiked Speedwell about to burst into flower! #Botany #Hawkweeds

Stopped at a site in the Yorkshire Dales this afternoon, absolutely chocked full of great birds...Short Eared Owl, breeding Redshank, Curlew, Lapwing and Common Sandpiper, many displaying Snipe, Kestrel, and Spotted Flycatcher...stumbled upon it by sheer chance! #UKBIRDING
