Ironically Uber's intransigence on drivers' rights and passenger safety will just hasten the arrival of more robo-taxis which is a market where its competitive advantage is much weaker...

Building relationships is critical to a union campaign. I think it happens in three spheres 1st, how you show up in the regular course of work: caring, good listener, reliable, likable 2nd, using space at work outside of the regular course to learn job problems 3rd, social plans for outside work
