Forty-eight years ago today the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reintegrated its priesthood & temples & restored the Church to its universal roots. Today we remember some of those who slipped past the walls of exclusion to receive priesthood ordination or temple rituals before June 1978.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints not included under the “Christian” banner is a statement. You’d think maybe the entire Utah delegation, all LDS, might check into what the executive branch is doing.

I’m surprised to see Quakers and Jehovah’s Witnesses on this list since they teach their members to not join the military. It could reflect there are a number of military personnel who join these religions while they are active duty.
