I consume a lot of audiobooks, and I think authors and publishers need to have intentional conversations about the listening experience. If your book has unusual text-based formatting, there needs to be a note about what that looks like and directions to some kind of sample.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

I’m painfully soft - in good and bad ways. I struggle to be bold, to know the right action to take. I ache when people are hurting or hurting others. It feels these times are exasperating this part of me. I feel a deep urge to turtle in my home and hug my family or cry or both.

Please oh please, for the love of Pete: don’t advertise your event as “fully accessible”. I promise you: it isn’t. Access does not end at wheelchair accessible spaces. Also? If there is no wheelchair accessible washroom on the premises, there’s no wheelchair access period. 1/4
