PLR Public Lending Right Program Important Notice: Electronic Delivery of PLR Payments The Public Lending Right (PLR) program can now provide payments through direct deposit, and this is the most certain and secure means of receiving timely payment from PLR. All active registrants with a Canadian bank account are requested to sign up without delay. If you are still receiving annual payment by paper cheque and would like to register for the direct deposit option, please contact the PLR staff now at plr@canadacouncil.ca. You can also send us a request by clicking on the Register for direct deposit! link on the PLR Program website. Requests for direct deposit registration received after December 18, 2024 will not be processed in time for 2025 PLR payments. Support documents and PLR update forms will continue to be mailed by post as in the past; owing to the current postal service disruptions, the electronic provision of payments will be an important aspect of supporting registrants to receive any compensation owed to them without delay in February 2025.
