It’s like a millpond out there… gorgeous. Kicked off the day with a run and then straight in the sea, all the way out to the buoys and back. Now to pack records for set with Damian Harris (yep, the Midfield General himself) at Babble, right on the prom, on the sea-deck at 2pm. Who needs Ibiza ;)

I’m working with E R Thorpe,and she’s playing Brighton’s Folklore Rooms next Thursday (28/5). Emma’s been getting rave reviews for her album and this will be her Brighton debut. Huw Costin, is in Jim (Crazy P)’s band, will also be performing. Tickets are £12 at Folklore Rooms website

Every word of this. Such an eloquent way of describing what it feels like to be Spurs right now. With all that is going on in the world it seems so self-indulgent, but I’m seeing in others, and experiencing myself, the impact football has on mental wellbeing. The last few months have been hell.

So far today I’ve had my train to London cancelled then arrived at my hotel only to find they’ve messed up the booking and allocated us a room for tomorrow, despite me having proof of confirmation of a reservation for today. Found a room in an absolute flea pit. We’d better win after all this…

Over the past five days I’ve seen Beverly Glenn-Copeland (82) and Laurie Anderson (78) perform at the Brighton Festival. Each gig was life-affirming. Uplifting, political, truly remarkable. Copeland brought on a brilliant queer choir, Anderson duetted with (taped) Arthur Russell! Celebrate them.
Early shout re: event I’m really excited to be a part of. E R Thorpe, is making her Brighton debut on 28 May, at The Folklore Rooms. Huw Costin of Torn Sail will be performing live too. It’s a chance to hear one of the best albums of this year live and direct. Tickets are just £12 from SeeTickets
