This is pretty dire and short sighted. And given that a lot of the foreign aid funds had been diverted to UK universities to fund research, it might mean another catastrophic blow to university funding. But if it's front line work in desperately needy places, we can expect more refugees, right?

Utterly shameful - a sickening betrayal of some of the poorest people. And counterproductive too - as if global security isn’t also dependent on efforts to tackle the climate crisis, global poverty, inequality, and humanitarian needs.
