The first week of September always takes me by surprise...been off for a week and on my return I need both a jacket and bike lights. After a roasting summer of early morning glory cycles this is....unpleasant.

My favourite thing I ever saw about this book was just a picture of it and all his other "surrounded by..." books in a bookshop just with the query "have you ever considered the problem might be you...?"

I have started a new todo list system where each week if something fills me with a sense of immense dread and guilt it goes on a separate Shame List and as soon as I've done one thing from the Shame List each week I don't have to look at it or think about it again until the following Monday

For UK peeps once again heading into a heatwave I recommend shutting your house up totally during the day to keep it cool and only opening it up around 10pm...
