For most of human history, we have acted as if we were separate from nature. As if forests, oceans, rivers, and wildlife existed solely for our use. But the truth is simple. We are not separate from nature. We are part of nature. We need nature. Without nature, humanity will not survive.

Mom and dad black-necked cranes strolling with their one baby. The black-necked crane is among the world’s rarest crane species. It is a first class protected wild animal in China. They mate for life and have only one or two babies each breeding season.

He was hit 3 times in his life by cars. The 3rd time was when I found him. He is terrified of small spaces like Crates so he couldn't travel anywhere to be adopted. But then today happened. ❤️
