ICE’s violence and cruelty is THE moral issue of our time. Republicans have totally abandoned Congress’s constitutional responsibility and oversight power. It's imperative that we bring real accountability to this out-of-control agency—and claw back the insane funding that has fueled its abuses.

Yesterday, a federal appeals court rejected ICE’s mass-detention policy, comparing it to Japanese internment camps during WWII—one of the darkest chapters in our history. SCOTUS will likely take up the case. I’ve been to these detention centers. They’re deeply inhumane and woefully inadequate.

Trump told 9/11 families that he was rescued from the rubble of the World Trade Center -- an obvious and shocking lie. Here's how the New York Times reports it. This is like reporting George Wallace's "segregation forever" speech as "Governor speaks at inauguration. Some remarks controversial."
