It’s gonna be a hoot when he drops before he has a chance to pardon all those creeps
Trump suggests he is going to pardon everyone, including himself: "I'm allowed to do a self-pardon ... I don't want to see people that work for me go through years of nonsense"
Rick Rubin: "How much does listener feedback affect the writing of future episodes?" @andrewhickey.500songs.com: "Not at all." My man!
BTW here's the Rick Rubin interview, great listen podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a...
I have the particular honor of having created the regional hot dog of Metropolis.
bsky. tell me about your regional hot dog and what goes on it.
beatles movies solutions: 1. all four play at the same time like flaming lips' zaireeka 2. christian marclay chops them up and rearranges them into one long movie based on his own internal logic 3. watch the bee gees' sgt pepper instead (carol channing is in it at the end)
RIP Spanish artist Sanjulián (Manuel Pérez Clemente) who has left us at the age of 85.
Sony has decided to give me 100 billion dollars to make 31 biopics about the members of Black Flag. People are scoffing at this idea and calling it "quite possibly the worst use of money in history" but I'll win over the public once they see my Jim "Kansas" Dearman film I swear
Sony is considering releasing all 4 ‘BEATLES’ biopics on the same day in April 2028. Another idea being considered is offering a 4-pack of tickets to encourage fans to buy tickets to all 4 films at once. (Source: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...)
"Betty Brown, Ph.G." by Boody Rogers, originally published on May 1, 1939, and titled "Always Room for One More." As anyone who has read Boody's "Babe" comic book series knows, he loved hillbilly humor, and he indulges himself here with this brief detour from Betty's usual urban environment.
There's a story in Alexander King's MINE ENEMY GROWS OLDER about working for days on a large painting of couples dancing on the deck of a cruise ship, when he delivered the art, the AD says "looks great, only one change, please turn all the dancers one quarter turn"
I honestly love drawing big crazy moments - but only when writer and editor understands the sacrifice and ask - and builds to the moment, accordingly. I'll go ALL IN, but there is always a cost. Usually time. Always money. Sometimes body and mind. Consider the cost. Respect the team.
Famously out-of-touch writer states "If I write a scene with three guys running over a hill, and I write a thousand guys coming over the hill, in comics that costs the same amount." Bullshit. The cost is your art team's time. Respect your collaborators. Comics is not free labor.
Translation: Neither I nor my dipshit defense secretary knew that this guy was in a wheelchair, and neither of us ever thought to consider the danger of martyrdom. Now that we've actually talked to experts, we realize this would be terrible television and horrendous geopolitical strategy. Oopsie!
oh this looks completely ridiculous and I can't wait
The first trailer has been released for Jason Statham's 'The Beekeeper 2'. In theaters January 15th.
