Happy 89th Birthday, Sergio Aragonés! Sergio silliness can be found on his official website at sergioaragones.com – and do check out the Groo website at groo.com It’s pretty snazzy considering it’s about a mendicant.
"It's the end... but the moment has been prepared for." I was eight when Tom changed to Peter and I really wasn't happy. I knew there were other actors to play the Doctor but I'd never seen a regeneration before. It didn't take long for me to warm to the 5th. Another fully painted Post-It Note.

The new edition of Cry Havoc is published by footsoreminiatures.co.uk . The maps are now double sided and there's new artwork for the counters too. Eveything was drawn in black ink and hand coloured using liquid water colours and a touch of gouache.
In June 1934 the British Union of Fascists - the Blackshirts - staged a rally at the Olympia in London. One protestor after another was singled out and beaten up by the crowd. Here's how Ronald Blythe described it.

Look at this Giles cartoon from 1978 We have foreground & background. The foreground is on a different level to the background. The architecture of the house, the ceiling & the landing are in service to that. The subject in the foreground is framed. The subjects in the background are also framed...

From 2005, a look back at the work of Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin from Smallfilms. If you grew up in the UK in the 70s then this is a treasure of memories.
