The USA is a country where men can rape women in the most traumatic ways, then walk away without consequences. Yet if she unfortunately got pregnant from one of those rapists, she would be locked up if she got an abortion. To add insult to injury, that rapist has paternal rights... The USA is FUBAR

Committing crimes should always mean they chose their own consequences, it's not for us to decide who deserves to get away with it

Reminder that disabled people on benefits are not the problem, as much as the government want you to believe it. If they taxed the rich like Labour is supposed to, there'd be enough for defence spending AND the welfare state. Bring back socialism, we've never needed it more.

I would love this too. The only time we came close where I live was the all night cafe Romeos in Middlesbrough in the 90s, which was a dive, but us night owls would sit and hang out, sharing a single can of pop and a couple of cigs until the first bus ran. Local sex workers would pop in to get warm

I'm so fucking sick of rape and sexual assault being appropriated to throw at anyone that someone doesn't like for other reasons. It negates the experiences of every SA and rape victim

15/8/23 @gidcoe.bsky.social and @marcrileydj.bsky.social were talking nicknames, so I messaged to say I've never had a one. They suggested Handy Mandy or 'Sticks', because you've got to find a moniker that sticks. A listener then suggested Pilot, referring to the 10cc song, which I kinda liked...

It's time for change. Instead of telling disabled people 'we can only accommodate a few of you', tell able bodied people that they need to make space for us. If there is a large number of disabled people wanting to attend your event, then accommodate them. Do better.

Y'know what's missing today? All the scenes of drunken violence that usually follow a big football win/loss. Strange that... Almost like it's not the football itself that's the problem.
