My latest for @thenation.com: the battle over BDS at the Park Slope Food Coop has become a microcosm of a wider dynamic. As Zionists recognize they’re losing the debate on Palestine, they now do everything they can to prevent that debate from happening at all. www.thenation.com/article/acti...

Why the Park Slope Food Coop’s BDS Battle Is So Important

Organizers trying to get the iconic store to ban Israeli goods believe in the power of tangible collective action at a moment when doing so feels increasingly difficult.

I recently reconnected with my childhood friend, Sadeq, from Yemen and found out that his father urgently needs surgery he can’t afford after years of war have devastated Yemen’s economy. I know there are so many fundraisers out there but please consider donating if you can. gofund.me/4cba159e6

Don’t be fooled by Kushner’s Gaza fantasy. The plan is to confine Palestinians to hyper-surveilled prison camps and exploit them as cheap labor for luxury developments they’ll never live in, all built atop mass graves. My latest for @thenation.com www.thenation.com/article/worl...

Jared Kushner’s “Plan” for Gaza Is an Abomination

Kushner is pitching a “new,” gleaming resort hub. But scratch the surface, and you find nothing less than a blueprint for ethnic cleansing.

I write for @theintercept.com about Israel’s mounting CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS — withholding Gaza aid and killing Palestinians. w/ brief commentary from @ramyabdu.bsky.social and @tksshawa.bsky.social who both say the GENOCIDE is continuing but through different means. theintercept.com/2025/10/15/i...

Israel’s Mounting Ceasefire Violations in Gaza

“The matter is not a ceasefire — we are talking about a managed genocide, a managed forcible displacement.”

In Ep 231, "How To Oppose Genocide Without Opposing Genocide (Part 2): AIPAC Dems' Fake Israel Criticisms," we detail the buyers' market for superficial Gaza critiques that permit ambitious Democrats to look pro-Palestine without the downside of actually being so. With guest @tksshawa.bsky.social.

Revolution was never promised. My latest for @thenation.com: hyper-individualism, elite-managed media, and advanced repressive tech are making our revolutionary aspirations increasingly elusive. If movements don’t adapt, windows for change will keep closing. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

Can Revolution Survive in the 21st Century?

Technology and the surveillance state have made it easier than ever to suppress popular uprisings. Will our movements adapt?

these are the material consequences of the adl and other major pro-israel institutions working to tie groups like sjp and jvp to terrorism: non-violent activists get treated by law enforcement as though they’re hiding bombs and AKs at home for doing basic misdemeanors

“The authorities told the family the raid was related to a spray-paint vandalism incident at George Mason’s campus in August — part of the widespread campus protests related to Israel’s war on Gaza.”

"It is astonishing how this normal human reaction - wishing for a war to end, instead of going on indefinitely - is completely inverted when it comes to the Israeli public." We need to normalize asking why an entity born via ethnic cleansing and addicted to genocide has a singular right to exist.

In Lebanon, a ceasefire is cause for celebration. Not in Israel - https://www.972mag.com/lebanon-israel-ceasefire-total-victory/

Okay: did lying in an extremely obvious way to defend an administration committing a genocide work? Was that persuasive to the many, many young people horrified by the extermination of Palestinians in Gaza that had continued every single day for the past year+ of the Biden-Harris administration?

There have been a lot of times where I feel like we need to have honest discussions on the left about what has worked and what hasn’t, share observations without judgement, but it feels like there isn’t much space for it. I think it’s holding us back. I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.

The US worked hard to remove Chapter VII language from the latest UN Security Council resolution on Gaza, that would have demanded an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire and the release of hostages, and then vetoed it anyway. 14 for, 1 against. Utterly depraved.

Palestinians will have to live w/ this type of brutal humiliation for generations. Breaking the will of Palestinians across the social spectrum has been one of the most constant & ever-expanding methods of Israeli colonial project. It helps when ur biggest allies are also racist colonial projects

What can I do for Gaza? 1) Identify your sphere of influence. Your school, your work place, organizations you're a part of. 2) Are they Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) compliant? Have they cut ties with Israel and Israeli institutions? 3) If no, get to work! Organize!

Reminder: Despite being defeated last week, HR 9495 (the bill that would strip nonprofit status of ANY organization the Trump treasury declares a terrorist org) will return for another vote in the House this week, tomorrow or Wednesday. Call/email your reps and tell them to vote NO on HR 9495.
