'Shadows and Rays'. A few hours after the lunar eclipse, the sun broke through the clouds here in Glastonbury.
Another eclipse outing in the early hours of this morning to the base of Glastonbury Tor. It was a fabulous experience to watch but less fabulous to try and get the settings correct and capture the scene in one frame 😂
Looking out of the window now I almost can't believe I caught this colour at sunrise. It is and was torrential rain here in Glastonbury. It was brief but intense.
'Celestial Crown' This morning's image from Glastonbury Tor. A sunrise that kept on giving and eventually produced these amazing rays above St Michael's tower.
The stairs to Avalon. Taken at sunrise on Glastonbury Tor (yesterday's photo but forgot to post it).
A series of images from this morning's sunrise taken from Glastonbury Tor. All in order of when they were taken and within a few minutes of each other. The clouds tried to dim the light but didn't quite manage.
Through the Archway. Photo taken looking through St Michael's tower on Glastonbury Tor at sunrise.

My generation had no voice on Brexit – but Burnham gives the young fresh hope on Europe | Ceira Sergeant
Brexit didn’t create all the problems young people now face, but renewing close ties with Europe will give us so many opportunities, says student and activist Ceira Sergeant

Polls consistently show a big majority (3:1) of UK voters back Freedom of Movement with the EU. It's ridiculous that FoM continues to be a "red line" that the UK govt squirms vainly to get around. Just ditch the red line! www.theguardian.com/politics/202... blogs.lse.ac.uk/politicsandp...

Poll also finds three quarters of people in Britain want closer ties, with majority accepting free movement

Britain has another “ingenious” plan for Europe: single market access without freedom of movement or EU law. Niall Ó Conghaile spots a familiar problem. Britons are talking to Britons again. Why would Europe agree? @eastangliabylines.co.uk @nialloconghaile.bsky.social

Bylines should be calling for a public inquiry into Brexit, not encouraging us to self-flagellate while we wait for politicians to do something different.
Nigel Farage: Net Zero "could be the next Brexit." Andrea Jenkyns: "Do I believe that climate change exists? No." Richard Tice: "There's no evidence that man-made CO2 is going to change climate change." The reality, during what's on course to be the hottest summer on record in the UK 👇
Data centres already use 6.6 million litres of water in the UK daily. Labour is seeking to triple the number of data centres by 2030. This would lead to an increase to 19.8 million litres a day. This could reduce the amount of waterflow available, which could affect fish, amphibians, birds & mammals
Music to our ears. Farage has made a total fool of himself and turned the volume up *himself* on all the many investigations into his own and Reform’s dodgy dealings. That’s not prime minister material that’s someone ridiculous. Someone who needs to run away…. or go to jail.

I just woke up from a remarkably vivid dream that Putin was assassinated. I don’t believe in premonitions… but this came completely out of the blue and felt real. Passing it along for whatever it’s worth.
Far from being a “stunning victory” that will put him on course for Downing Street, Nigel Farage’s “humiliating and demeaning” performance in the Clacton by-election showed exactly why we are now heading towards the end of his political career, rather than the beginning of a massive new chapter
