People won't be able to pay their rent, buy groceries, or pick up prescriptions because of the ineptness of this government. The AISH to ADAP transition is cruel, and this is just another example of this government's ineptness and incompetence.
Today’s announcement of private pay preventative services won't solve wait times. It will make them worse. Danielle Smith & her UCP government have given up on fixing public health care. They have thrown in the towel and are asking us to pay instead.
Alberta allowing patients to self-refer, pay out of pocket for preventative health testing
The changes were announced in the spring and allow patients to pay for some tests and be reimbursed if the results show cancer to be found.

1/ It was an absolute pleasure and honour to join in the Grand Entry at the Tsuut’ina Nation’s Powwow this year. My family, my children, and I loved participating and seeing the incredible dancers and drummers. I loved seeing all the kids proudly wearing their traditional outfits.
This referendum will cost nearly $180 million. Today we learned that premier Danielle Smith and the UCP spent $300,000 on a Toronto based firm to create a one-sided biased website to try and get the result they want. Albertans deserve better. calgaryherald.com/news/politic...
Alberta referendum website to cost government $300K: documents
Expense reports indicate executive council paid $309K to an ad agency after budgeting near that amount to build its referendum website

For the second year in a row, I’m teaming up with the Queen of Urban Hikes Lori Beattie to lead the walking group at Bike-A-Palooza on Sunday, Sept 20! 🚲
While Alberta risks boxing itself in, Ontario is proving what’s possible when we let innovation lead. We don’t need false dilemmas of "either or;" it is not either renewables or natural gas. A modern electricity grid needs all of the above #ableg
In 2016, former premier Rachel Notley and former prime minister Justin Trudeau unofficially signed MoU 1.0 to build TMX expansion in return for developing Alberta's Climate Leadership Plan. No cameras, no signing ceremonies, and no pomp and circumstance - just a handshake and an agreement.
Another wonderful Stampede in the books! Thank you @calgarystampede.bsky.social for bringing the community together. I loved seeing our neighbours and communities connecting over pancakes and BBQs.
Great morning at Hull Services Stampede Breakfast! Such an amazing crowd, incredible turnout, and fantastic live music. Love seeing our community come together during Stampede. Thank you Hull Services for the hard work and dedication to support children and youth in Calgary and region.
1/2 As your MLA for Calgary-Glenmore, I speak with Albertans every day - at their doors, in their communities, and across this province. And what I hear is clear: people are proud to be Albertan, and proud to be Canadian.
I was honoured to join new Canadians at a citizenship ceremony at Heritage Park this morning. Canada is built by people who choose to come together and shape a shared future, and your presence strengthens our country. Happy Canada Day!
Too many Alberta children are waiting too long for mental health assessments, therapy, and specialized care. The UCP should reverse its 2019 decision to cancel the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre and invest in the services Alberta kids and families need. Children can't afford to wait.
Gaps found in mental health supports for Alberta kids: report
A report from the Alberta Medical Association has found gaps in supports for kids with mental health and developmental conditions.

1/3 Business leaders, nonprofits, and policy experts are all warning the province of Alberta: talk of separation is already hurting investment, community services, and long‑term planning.
1/3 Electricity is an enabler of the economy. Alberta needs a modern grid that can handle new, diverse energy supply to power every part of our economy and create jobs in Alberta.
I made a purchase to decorate the house. An extra special purchase ahead of Canada Day 🇨🇦 From now and until October, this is an important time to show your pride in our province and in our country. Albertans are proud Canadians 🍁
1/ UCP MLAs are now touring the Grassy Mountain coal mine while 200,000 Albertans signed the Water Not Coal petition to protect the Eastern Slopes. The premier told Albertans she believes in direct democracy… But apparently...she only believes in direct democracy when she likes the question.
Proud to be officially nominated this evening! In 2023, a cancer diagnosis showed me what's at stake when Albertans can't rely on health care. I'm stepping up to fight for change and support every Albertan family. Volunteer, donate, and help us build a better Alberta: kylecampbell.albertandp.ca

What a year! Educators and teachers, thank you for everything you do. Thank you for showing up for our kids with patience and kindness. Wishing you a peaceful, well‑deserved break. Have a good summer!
It’s always an honour exchanging with folks in #yycGlenmore. On Neighbour Day, we visited six events - from Lakeview to Oakridge and Woodlands. I am grateful to all the community leaders and builders who make these events happen. This place is special because of you! #neighbourday2026
Danielle Smith and the UCP are pushing Alberta toward privatized health care, making you pay for surgeries in public hospitals for the first time. Albertans deserve better: faster care, shorter wait times, and a strong public system we can count on. It's time for better public health care for all.
Albertans are struggling with the cost of living. They need tangible solutions that put money back in their pockets - not a one off $100 that doesn’t cover groceries. The Alberta NDP is focused on improving the lives of Albertans. Check out our Affordability Agenda: albertandp.ca/savemoney
Life just keeps getting more expensive. You deserve a government that wants to help. That’s why we launched the Alberta Affordability Agenda — our first set of commitments to help you keep more money in your pocket. ➡️ See the full plan: albertandp.ca/savemoney

Alberta led the country in renewables - thanks the former Alberta NDP government’s Renewables Electricity Program (REP). 1/3
“There’s no greater instability than this referendum right now,” Alberta NDP leader Naheed Nenshi told a crowded ballroom at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Calgary Monday morning. “People are deeply worried that 130 days from now, we could lose our country.” https://bit.ly/3SrPchY
'It leaves us prey': Nenshi takes aim at Smith over separation-related division and economic uncertainty
Alberta NDP leader Naheed Nenshi criticized the UCP government for divisions created by separatism talk as well as inflation.
