tomwellborn3rd@wellborn.net · 16h agoHe came in 2024 to join his parents, graduated with honors last May, was in JROTC and wanted to study medicine. He had a pending asylum claim and an October hearing when ICE summoned him and fitted a monitor to his leg. He was 20 years old.
ICE plans up to $2 million on robot dogs — a planning notice, no contract yet. 360° cameras, extendable arms, they open doors. Three weeks ago: a signed $16.7 million no-bid contract for 6,000 electric shock gloves. Homan on those: "another device to help someone get compliant when they are not."
ICE is spending nearly $17 MILLION of your tax dollars on electric shock gloves that can cause serious injury or death. I joined House Homeland Dems in demanding answers on ICE’s plans to use them on people in custody and for crowd control, especially given ICE’s alarming record of excessive force.
