Whoa! Found a clubbed mydas fly on my lunch walk. So large and beautiful coloration!
New aphid I found while sweep netting the sorghum fields - Sipha flava, better known as the yellow sugarcane aphid. They can transmit sugarcane mosaic virus.
Igni (my husband) and I went to Isle of Berk in June and we are still absolutely obsessed! I still listen to the mead hall music while I’m writing. It was SO good!
