To close out national #securityofficer #week Anamcara would love to highlight its ever growing selection of #detectivenovels even if their #heroes aren’t offical #gendarmes.

Today is national #live #creative day: a celebration of live art and art instruction. The only better way to celebrate than actually seeing #art live is to read about one of the pioneers of modern #dance the late Joan Stone of the #universityofkansas.

Sunday was international #cat day. Cats being smarter than humans spend their days lying in the #sun but humans being more industrious than cats #read when they lie in the #sun. A good #book can almost make you a cat.

Today is national #saint day. The Saint, a #detective character by #Chinese-American polymath Leslie Chataris is in the #publicdomain as of this year. While the detective novels we publish aren’t as swashbuckling the titles by G.P. Gottleib and Jerry Masinton are still good fun.

On this #culturalcommunityday Anamcara Press wants to give a shoutout to Leonard Krishtalka the author of a number of mystery novels about #anthropology #paleontology and the #culture of both those disciplines and the people who are affected by them.

Thank you @juliebrin.org for being a terrific poet and also being Anamcara’s biggest cheerleader. We look forward to whatever you write next.
