Sharing challenges and opportunities on transport provision as we face up to climate change responsibilities at the British Irish Council in Belfast. Great meeting with Irish Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien. Visit to new Grand Central Station in Belfast as well

It was a pleasure to host @fionahyslop.bsky.social this week, discussing the role and potential of community transport and important connections with tackling poverty, inequity, improving wellbeing, local and regional economies and access to health and other services www.tsdg.org.uk/cabsec-ctvis...

Retirement is a big decision and I have loved representing West Lothian and its various, strong and resilient communities but today I am announcing I will be retiring in 2026. With a full on 14 months to go I will continue to serve my constituents and support the First Minister.

Voters with Postal votes in the Broxburn, Uphall and Winchburgh by-election have started voting and good to hear when I was out today many of them for the SNP‘s Mike Carlin. In person polling is Thursday 13th March

Today's events in Washington are a clear cause for deep concern, for shock, for anger. What we need now are cool heads and clear thinking. We must stand firm with our European allies in the steadfast defence of Ukraine. That is where Scotland stands. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇦

Folk in Uphall are not happy that the local Labour Council in West Lothian want to walk away from their Community Centres with mass forced asset transfers, with that and closing swimming pools they want to take community out of our communities ! @MikeCarlinSNP

Local people putting themselves forward to represent the local community they live in is an important part of democracy - out campaigning with Mike Carlin our SNP candidate in the Broxburn, Uphall and Winchburgh Council by-election 13th March.

Final @ccfest concert and as I am the Parliament’s Nature Champion for Scotland’s extraordinary blanket bogs where else would I be than at the When Fish Begin to Crawl” concert. The @RSNO performed Jim Sutherland’s moving score accompanied by Morag McKinnon’s montage film on 3 giant screens.

Still a lot of debris and trees down on transport routes - thank you to all clearing up. Travellers need to stay vigilant and check routes before travel. Snow and ice forecast next issue to contend with. 💨 ❄️ 🧊

If Irn Bru is Scotland’s other national drink then the GritOrchestra is Scotland’s other national orchestra! Magical and moving with the best of Scotland’s musical talent and traditions performing the brilliance of Martyn Bennett’s GRIT

❌ Plain and simply; Scotland’s WASPI women deserve better 🥀 Labour should be utterly ashamed of their complete lack of regard for WASPI women 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The SNP in Government will always support our WASPI women and will continue to campaign for this wrong to be put right!
