When students organize: we all win Young people are leading the fight for repair, freedom, and equality. It’s time to join them in turning the tide. A look at the most recent student organizing efforts from Brazil to Serbia to India to France to the US.

I just want to name that people overcame this. Even against a stacked deck, the good fight is worth it. Win or lose, it's worth it. And sometimes the good guys win.

The old guard wants to whitewash the culture. We need to fight for our freedom to watch, play & tell the stories that make us who we are and that equip us to make a better world. This moment calls on fans, creatives, gamers & storytellers alike to come together and demand equality over erasure.

The same faction funding efforts to divide up fandoms, remove Black & Gender Studies programs at colleges, and ban books in public schools & libraries are the ones trying to cancel future stories like Sinners, Insecure & Mass Effect so they can be replaced with stale & pale remakes of the past.

Supremacists are threatened by diverse & norm-shattering storylines that inspire people to challenge the status quo. And these corporate nepo babies are very threatened indeed by Millennials & GenZ seeing more equality on the screen in recent years and demanding more equality in real life.

We approached Gov. Gavin Newsom after he signed the Truth in Disclosure Act to ask him if he’d continue to build on this important piece of reparative legislation by committing to our repair mandate and it looks like he’s open to it. Some might say: he wants it that way.
