Sure looks like Republicans redrew the map in Tennessee to stop Memphis from sending Justin J. Pearson to Congress, who is/was poised to win the primary after fighting like hell against Elon Musk's methane-spewing data centre monstrosities in South Memphis. Craven, desperate and racist as hell.

Powerful speech by Justin J. Pearson You spoke truth to power until power had no choice but to listen.

Rep. Pat Ryan on the Epstein files: "I think people around the world are gonna fall because of this — and they fucking should fall…If there weren't explosive stuff in there, they wouldn't be fighting like hell to protect them."

“Even when Schumer and centrist Democrats have been dealt a strong hand, these are the sort of players who would fold a royal flush.” If the Senate Dems surrender to Republicans after having all the momentum - let there be no doubt who were responsible for caving. 👇🏻

“The mystery is why Schumer keeps flirting with capitulation in exchange for nothing. Democrats have the political momentum, Republicans are divided, and a majority of voters blame Republicans for the shutdown. Schumer himself faces a likely primary challenge for his own Senate seat. He is even more vulnerable if he presides over a Democratic capitulation.

Equally bizarre is Shaheen’s game, since she is not even running for re-election when her term expires in 2026. She is on the Appropriations Committee, and part of the weak Republican offer is to pass the appropriations bills that have gone through the committee on a bipartisan basis. Clearly, Shaheen is more concerned with getting those bills done than using important leverage to protect the signature Democratic legislative achievement of this century.

Even when Schumer and centrist Democrats have been dealt a strong hand, these are the sort of players who would fold a royal flush.”

SCOOP: Schumer was more involved than reported with the attempted cave on the government shutdown. The Gang of 8 Senate Dems had his approval & he was getting daily updates. In Thursday's caucus meeting, the Gang claimed they had 10 votes to cave. The caucus went nuts, leading to the new proposal.

To be clear: the deal they voted on to move forward last night still needs to be formally voted on in the Senate and House. If the eight are your senators, they should be hearing from you this morning!
