The only thing any human can do is to be better than who they were yesterday. Apologies don't have to be accepted, but death threats overshadow ANY good faith of wanting change and accountability. Focus on growing and being better when a wrong occurs and never let anyone drag you back.

I really am saddened to hear that Gerry Conway has died. The comics he collaborated upon were part and parcel of my growing up, and I’m very, very grateful for that. And from their number, there are far more than a few of just plain wonderful comics that I’ll never let stray from my shelves. R.I.P.
To anyone doing this - yelling slurs is not the method of protest against fandom BS that you think it is. Prejudice of any kind is not cool, or edgy - it’s reductive, harmful, and neither I nor anyone else in this cast and crew want it in our fandom. Stop doing this. Be better.
