The oldest known surviving copy of Homer’s epic (circa 200–400 CE) joins ‘THE ODYSSEY’ press junket in New York, courtesy of The John Rylands Library at The University of Manchester. Experience Christopher Nolan’s film in theaters July 17. #TheOdyssey #ChristopherNolan
I don’t talk about my work much here, but this was a highlight from today’s THE ODYSSEY press junket (in addition to talking w/Nolan and cast): a page from The Manchester Odyssey, the oldest surviving copy of Homer’s poem. 3rd century CE. Fascinating to see & learn about from the historian on hand.
