Jazz LPs (not vinyls) and occasionally CDs. Armchair cricket and football supporter(Royals!). Art for art's sake. English Civil Wars and radical history, and elephants
In the tradition Braxton #nowplaying #jazzcd #jazzsky #anthonybraxton I still remember the excitement of hearing this for the first time when I bought it on release. AB was an early Jazz entry point for me, forty plus years the "friendly experiencer" now.
Fire breathing ... #nowplaying #jazzsky #jazzvinyl #britishjazz is it my imagination or is this great album generally underrated?

It is actually a pretty big day, with my Ndeya hat on I've also spent the last few years piecing this release together, out today, the final concert recording of the late, great Jon Hassell, the music on this is radical AF jonhassell.bandcamp.com/album/music-...

Still very much "The Man" on the evidence of last night's gig. His voice sounded as strong as ever, still scaring the band #nowplaying #rocksky #rockvinyl #vantheman
New Arthur, with Sunny and Rasul. First listen and this is tremendous. There's a companion volume too 'New Light' #nowplaying #jazzsky #jazzdownload nobusinessrecords.bandcamp.com/album/incant...
Blissful, and quietly spiritual #nowplaying #guitar with thanks to @inventingzero.net and his memory

This is a wonderful idea that works really well. Simon is great at understanding what the lucky recipient will like (not a surprise given the effort he puts in and his years of bookselling). I have bought two of these as presents.
