I draw things. I 3D model things! Architecture enthusiast! I used to do outer space things. Now I do software things.
Oh yeah I've also been looking for 3D face tracking solutions for OBS using mac, which don't require subscription. crossover + VSeeface only transfers head poses but not expressions.
Oh yeah I’ve been drawing again, just haven’t been too keen on the social media landscape. But I do have an art channel :3 VR has been good inspiration for new pics.

This shows the complete uselessness of the Apple Watch. Wish to add a playlist? WELL NOW, don't be so hasty there! You must submit your internet connection to the Apple Gods and they will decide when it is most appropriate to begin downloading :P (connected to charger, same wifi network, no success)
More fun Apple trivia: did a device not successfully resume your last play session when you tell it to “play”? And you don’t purchase music from iTunes? Congratulations, now you get to listen to U2’s “The Miracle” and no, you are not allowed to remove this from your library.
So, what started out as "I would like to run, I should use my Apple watch to play locally-stored music" has turned into: "All of my local music is now deleted and I have to restore from my computer" This is so stupid.
The irony is not lost on me that an apple watch has cost me hours and hours of time. Most of my work now is attempting to not throw it out a window at full force.
If your primary music consumption method is via streaming, Apple devices work great. If it isn't? Ohhh boy, you get to see all the dumb stuff Apple does. I've been spending the last 2 hours trying to get a single playlist of my own music to load and play from my watch. Endless "sync" issues.
The worst part of Unity for Windows: this takes just 1 second on apple silicon. You better not accidentally nudge something on a large prefab!
It was awesome attending FWA and seeing the way crowds interact with the architecture as day goes to night :D
So now that I'm back... I finished a new version of my VRChat avatar the other day so I visited @swishchee.bsky.social's world and took some photos~
I am reliably informed by @swishchee.bsky.social that grackles operate thusly.
General question: Does anyone remember Arcroto/DreamingWanderer? An excellent artist who got me interested in animating using TVPaint and in simplifying characters. Here's a collab we did based on a husky photo years ago. I've not seen them in a while. I'm hoping they're ok!
Whenever I hear the phase "creative cloud" I ALWAYS hear it in CEO Shantanu Narayen's voice where he's being an absolute clown in this disastrous Australia press conference. CC was the "big new thing" at the time and people were already sensing that something fishy was going on.

2020: Google really sucks now, time to append with "site:reddit.com" 2025:
oh hey it's also my bday today so my present is getting to talk about this stuff I find to be interesting :3
Activeworlds was "second life with unlimited land that hosts your environments forever" Hundreds of thousands of people built on a 3-D contiguous landscape that's 6% larger than California. Avatars were very limited, so the means of expression was architecture and city building. This is goin in VRC
I've been experimenting with very large Blender imports of the stuff we made in "activeworlds". Definitely at the limits of what this computer can take. I also made another world depicting just a tiny section of the player spawn for "SW City" which was the largest contiguous city from this platform.
MacOS clip a screen recording: use the native tool like we've done for years. Microsoft: hAvE yOu tRiEd CLIPCHAMP? We absolutely love CLIPCHAMP's mandatory OneDrive integration! CLIPCHAMP only lets you have your video once it FIRST uploads to OneDrive 🤡 OneDrive is definitionally malware now.
I've been playing with getting more ActiveWorlds stuff into VRChat >:3
A Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who chose a period of time to rest without all the social expectations!
One of the main reasons I love using VR is the layer of separation from phones and other doomscroll-friendly user input methods.
I wanna draw more VRChat stuff to get the hang of drawing again. This is a world called Ritual by DrMorro. This is a huge tiled archway room filled with pools of varying depths, and huge strange pipes.
picarto.tv/swishchee finishing this painting up, gonna balance some of the composition or w/e! also picarto doesn't forbid this architecture
