Orbitals is the kind of game that starts out strong then you slowly realize it’s run out of ideas, and I was pretty put off by how much its closing chapters try to imitate better works without having put in the effort.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword's combat is so good I challenged myself to beat it without using any items. And I did. Combine that with fantastic characters, a memorable story, and some of the coolest cutscenes you'll ever see, and it's impossible not to recommend. My review for @ign.com:

I really wasn't feeling the new P4: Revival battle theme until the horn section and electric organ really kicked in. Letting the song breathe a little, it does feel like it belongs in P4.
