Reading some of these national takes on the Sixers and it's clear a lot of people didn't watch the Sixers last season and have no clue how Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe are wired.

I believe the Sixers COULD stretch-and-waive Johni Broome to make space/money needed to officially sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. They would owe Broome $300,000 this season instead of $2.1m, allowing them to sign KCP for $3.9m and stay JUST below the apron.
The Sixers now officially have enough space under their first-apron hard cap to sign LeBron James. They do *not* have enough space (yet) to sign KCP as well.

The Philadelphia 76ers have officially signed LeBron James, per the league’s transaction log.
Figured this was one of a few moves coming with space needing to be made for LeBron and KCP. The other remaining non-guaranteed player currently on the Sixers books is Jabari Walker (becomes guaranteed Jan. 2027)
