In my view, saying ignorant & bigoted bullshit isn't "speaking out". It's vile behavior. These athletes are facing the consequences of their actions. To say otherwise is like saying a racist family member is being "censored" because he's not allowed to say the N word at thanksgiving anymore

Aaron Rodgers spoke out about Dr. Anthony Fauci. Sophie Cunningham spoke out about transgender athletes. Caitlin Clark chose not to weigh in. Three different approaches, one common result: criticism. Steve Buckley on how athletes can't win on social media: nyti.ms/3Sa9A7D

Every off-season, NBA teams take low-cost fliers on former lottery picks and stalled prospects. How often do these bets pan out? I looked at the historical data to find out. First article at the new site! Do Cheap Fliers on Failed Prospects Work? intheno.net/do-cheap-fli...

Do Cheap Fliers on Failed NBA Prospects Work?

Every offseason, NBA teams bet on former lottery picks and stalled prospects. Which gambles actually pay off, and what can history teach us about finding value?

The Sixers have an open roster spot, but not enough money under the first apron (they’re hard-capped there) to sign another player until December. Keep that in mind when you see rumors from weird sources!

It's weird, when you look back on the coverage of Jackie Robinson integrating Major League Baseball, there weren't a lot of these sympathetic pieces about the fans practicing their rights of freedom of speech by screaming the N-word at him. Progress!

Speaking for the first time since ralliers began assembling in support of her stance against transgender participation in women’s sports, Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said this was an opportunity for the WNBA to uphold its values of diversity and inclusion. nyti.ms/4fHr4Qn

X views are a total mirage. Whatever Musk reports is certainly a lie. They won't let anyone study the platform for a reason: It's entirely fake; it's a billion Russian bots pretending to be your girlfriend.

The audience for pro-Trump content has fallen from its heights and, for some creators, has reached new lows, a New York Times analysis suggests. Views are dropping for many of President Trump’s greatest allies. nyti.ms/3TLV4TV

Four charts showing total views per week for 12 right-wing influencers. Headline reads: "The MAGA Media Machine Is Fracturing." Summary reads: "Once united in support of President Trump, right-wing influencers are embroiled in feuds and losing viewers, creating a problem for Republicans in the midterm elections."

Great read from Keith as usual. Couldn’t help but LOL at this: “Note: No one from Portland was willing to speak with me about the team’s ownership situation. Not even off the record.”
