If you start as a Hornkeeper, you'll drop in with your watch and an acorn. You have a sharp eye for tracking down valuable artifacts, but since you've never actually built or grown a thing in your life... You'll have to rely on whatever you manage to dig up.

Are you a cis man feeling disgusted at the news? Good. Use that. Talk to your fellow men about what you're going to do to make our industry and our world safer. And then actually do it. You may lose friends or opportunities, but a better and safer industry and world starts with you.

Your past shapes how you survive The Pergola. If you grew up as a Mulchbounder you'll drop in with an old cape. Years of brutal subsistence farming made you tough, but your deep superstition makes handling new, foreign artifacts… complicated.

Today marks the public launch of the Ubisoft Workers of Montreal (UWM) campaign, with a first action: a petition to preserve hybrid work. Every Ubisoft Montreal employee is invited to sign the petition and every supporter encouraged to reach out to their network to encourage them to sign!

The Triple-i Initiative showcase is back! 45 minutes of pure back-to-back game announcements with zero fluff. World premieres. Gameplay reveals. Release dates. Demos. No hosts. No ads. Just games. Be there - October 8th - 9am PDT / noon EDT / 6pm CEST.

These wins are incredible!!! Minimum 4 weeks severance + 1 week for every 6 months employment, AND recall rights, AND hybrid work + AI protections, AND up to 34% wage increases! This would have been unthinkable before the industry started to unionize!

blizzard workers' union contract includes "really strong" layoff protections, recall rights, just cause protections, hybrid work, AI protections, and a salary floor aftermath.site/blizzard-union-contract-warcraft-overwatch-diablo

That includes a bare minimum of four weeks of severance plus an additional week for every six months an employee has worked at Blizzard, up to a maximum of 39 weeks. The unions also won something those at other studios, like Zenimax, bargained for following previous layoffs: recall rights. Blizzard’s, however, are more expansive.
“It's not just recall rights into your unit; it's recall rights into any job that you would be qualified for,” said Cox. “So if WoW has a bunch of layoffs, but Diablo doesn't, and Diablo is looking to expand, the folks who are laid off from WoW can get recalled into Diablo if they're qualified, which has definitely never happened in our industry before, and is very rare to see just in general. So we are really excited about that.”
All unionized units under Blizzard qualify for recall rights, which span 14 months.
“14 months from the layoff, you can be recalled into an open position that you're qualified for,” said Veneto. “This is kind of common in other parts of the unionized world, but we believe this is a first for the tech industry to have recall rights like these.”

Just in time for the 2026-2027 vaccines, a new review shows that COVID19 vaccination significantly reduces the risk of severe illness and hospitalization across all age groups, including kids. Pregnant women were also protected, as were their babies. Don’t forget to schedule your vaccination!

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

We wanted an enemy that makes you think twice about running through the brush, so we created the Twigsnapper. It's a heavy hitting miniboss that will stay buried until it hears you crunching on roots nearby.

A side-by-side look at the real flowers and fauna you can find onboard The Pergola: real life weeds and flowers found everywhere on the ship. We want the overgrowth to feel familiar, even when it's hundreds of years away from home.
