I've come to realize that the Turing Test is not a test of the computer program in question. It's a test of the human interacting with it, and their ability to recognize humanity. This makes the present world a lot easier to understand. People fail the Voight-Kampf all the time now. "Real" people.

You have my vote for closing the rape dens. If your frat house hasn’t had a rape accusation in the last half century, you get to keep it open. For now. I wonder how many frat houses that would leave open.

I've had a seasonal cough (allergies) the last week and a half. My choices seem to be "coughing crap out of my lungs" or "groggy from medication." Neither is conducive to writing. (Not asking for advice. Complaining. That thing that works for you? Tried it. Didn't work/made me groggy. Thanks.)
I'm often on this call. If that's an enticement, great. If it's not... sometimes I sleep in, too.

I just had a bartender look up how to make a margarita on ChatGPT and the instructions were wrong.
I used AI to look this up, and it was literally my first use of AI, because I thought it was very, very funny to use it for this one thing. If someone repeats the propaganda that ChatGPT has a billion users... ask them how many actually pay for it. The answer is five percent. Feel free to share.

It's just so odd. It's one thing to be an addict. It's another to assume everyone else is addicted to the same thing. I have never knowingly clicked on an AI tool. I've never opened ChatGPT or Claude. If you're defining AI to include spellcheck... I'd miss it, but I own a great dictionary.
