And all the while, as green becomes golden fire and ultimately drops, the veil thins around us. Even the sounds deaden and fall flat as the fog steals the night. And shadow beings walk brazenly on the periphery of our fears. Hunting our contact. Our night terrors given form; stalking us. Safe before the hearth, our voices hush. Fearing each creak in the roof and floor. Counting the hours till dawn.

#vss365 The sentinels of the black circle and keepers of the apocrypha stood watch in the cavern as I approached. 9 runed columns formed a protective circle, within that the 5 sentinels occupied marked sigils and one stood empty for me — all located within three linked circles. As they bade me enter and take my place, everything changed. The light struggled to enter, the air felt heavier, and the #esoteric text I held open before me, began to read itself in my mind, until my voice gave the spells flight. As the sentinels took up the closing chant, I felt the sleeper’s eye had opened.

#vss365 Though he had a more than adequate vocabulary and had been known to occasionally wax lyrical about a variety of subjects, when liquor had greased the gears, he now found himself struck dumb by rage. The clumsiness and sheer gall of the text had robbed him of his #eloquence. All of this money, to commission enough spam numbers and to hire the servers to spam the entire nation with one divisive message. Its aim, to sew division. To poke blind xenophobic finger at the Islamic faith. When his terse two-word reply failed to send, he resorted to the best backup. He took their beshitted political flyer and popped it in a jiffy envelope. Then mailed it to their HQ.
