Raiders fans, this is the ideal for how you want to see the zone scheme executed by the OL, TE, Jeanty and Washington. There’s options to cutback, one step cut, and bounce. Notice how the blocking isn’t *perfect* but bodies are being displaced and combos are being worked thru.

The thing I *loved* about playing for Josh McDaniels as a play caller was he didn’t give a DAMN about running what other people called “trick” plays. If he saw an advantage, and he had players with unused skillsets we would practice the plays and not be afraid to execute them.

Ultimately as I’m catching up on the end of Michigan chaos…if I accept this was the right decision in the end—were the teams reversed would they still have done the same thing? Reviewed it with the same diligence? Something to think about…
