Qualcomm PR guy. Barely recovering journalist. X-Men. Atari. NYC. Nothing I say should ever be considered approved by my company in any way.

I don't understand why Brad Lander doesn't have more traction in the NYC mayoral race. He's accomplished, competent, has a lot of good policy ideas - really the Kathryn Garcia lane right there. What's missing?

“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

I spent yesterday testing the Apple iPhone 16e against a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 phone. Yes, I am biased! But I'm also not wrong. First of all, the C1 is definitely short of our modem lineup on features. Here's a handy chart our engineers came up with based on the analysis they did over the weekend.

a funny rumor from the same tech sources that told me Elon was angling to be shadow president: Elon has more children than is publicly known. like, a lot more. a lot lot more

Just can't shake the feeling that we have a government by completely random proclamation right now. No Congress, no courts. If Elon tweets "y'all gotta wear green hats" then we all have to wear green hats.

Just checking. Elon is king now and can do whatever he wants, right? I read that a judge told his guys to get out of the Treasury but there's zero reason or mechanism to make him comply, right?

Congestion Pricing is creating tremendous benefits. Subway Ridership: ⬆️ 13% Bus Ridership: ⬆️ 6% (⬆️ 21% weekends) Transit Crime: 🔻36% Fatal Car Crashes: 🔻44% Trip Times: 🔻10-30%

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Until I see someone in Congress take any actual effective action against this, I will assume they all at least vaguely support this. They must be so relieved to not have to make any decisions any more, to have it all done for them now.
