oh hey, happy 20th anniversary pokemon diamond and pearl! damn, the first pokemon games i actually owned (played Ruby Sapphire at a friend's house only) they get a lot of flak for being slow, but honestly, they completely enamored kid me with their atmosphere...

Fangamer's booth had a Katamari Prince, which actually magnetizes objects to it! He rolled up all the other merch...
Oh and I ran into the Hideki Kamiya... y'know, the guy who voiced Godot in Ace Attorney 3! He wanted to know where the Dr. Oops booth was, so I gave him directions!
They had a store dedicated almost entirely to Kasane Teto for some reason... but hey, good for her! Show everyone that us 30 year old still got it!
They had a complayer for the Danganronpa 2x2 booth. I want @blueskyrunner.bsky.social behind us to complete the set XD
Ehehe, Negishi's getting a cosplayer to be an irl Miss Orange for the TGS booth, bless!
When translators say they hate doing MTPE because it's faster to just do it from scratch and results in better material, we're not exaggerating. If I was a proofreader and a translator handed me this, I would immediately tell the PM to fire them. No translation is genuinely better than an MT in loc.
Unsurprisingly it looks real bad
dang, new metroid. i kinda stalled on dread... wonder if this one will be for me? best i get back to dread sometime...

actually seeing the game design proposals by a former PlatinumGames employee made me see how it's done, how the quality of my proposals or resumes back in the day was not up to snuff... if anything, how was I able to send such shoddy resumes to PG and stuff...
So I was asked to go down to the office to get a briefing from Negishi. And this was the entrance... like something straight out of castlevania!
The Dr. Oops demo is LIVE! Directed by Negishi (game designer for NieR: Automata) and localized into English by me! It does have adult humor and stuff, and I slipped in a few classic Simpsons references there as well :p See if you can find them! store.steampowered.com/app/4881090/...

Kamiya reposted us! "So, it seems like N.E.G.I.… no, Negishi made a game… He even voiced all the characters himself! Impressive… I actually got to play it at BitSummit the other day and thought it was pretty fun, so if you’re looking for a game with a unique twist, give the demo a try…!"

haha, Mario Kart 8 DX update 8 players looks cool, def brining this to parties and not World XD
hm, translation thought. if someone said they liked the writing of a game, but only played it in a translated language... and never complained about the translation quality, are they praising the translation as well?
Oh hey, someone did an interview with Negishi! Having to look up each and every disease name and making sure the right English equivalent was being used was tough, but glad there was a proper reason for it! Would be cool if someone did an English interview with him, I could help...

Reveal time! The game I'm working on the EN translation for is directed by: Isao Negishi, game designer for NieR: Automata! He's making a comedic game called Dr. Oops, a medical diagnosis game with Western animation-inspired art and humor (like The Simpsons) store.steampowered.com/app/4451230/...

New portfolio piece! I did the Japanese LQA for the 3D action-platformer, Duskfade, the other day! As someone who plays a lot of these kinds of games, this was easy to get through Give it a look if you like PS2-era platformers! store.steampowered.com/app/2542020/...
working on the translation of the game being directed by someone who worked on one of my favorite games... while listening to the soundtrack of said game... what a surreal experience, lol
