question for @dholms.at is there a reason the severity field (info vs warn, etc.) on labels isn't on self-labels? it would be super useful for many self labels (paid promotion disclosure, ai usage disclosure, etc.) that don't need to be warnings but just need to be small info boxes present on a post
perpetually being invite-only is a cool idea. but specifically bluesky can't/definitely shouldn't do it because of atproto and the atproto ethos
Ben Collins@bencollins.bsky.social · 3w agoBluesky should go back to invites, continue aggressive bot bans, create a Craigslist-style marketplace (since you’re more likely to buy/get services from a educated or good person on here than any other social network), and market this place like a walled garden protected from enshittification.
