One thing that's always stood out to me about Alan Ritchson is how forthright he's been about any number of subjects, so when I spoke to him about the newest season of #Reacher, I had to ask about why he feels that's so important:

“People with ability and strength and power should be giving all of their time, energy, and resources to help those who need it the most, and we don't see that, and so we escape to a world where we wish that it was like this,” Ritchson asserts. “This is a hyperbolic version of what humanity can do if we really apply ourselves, and it saddens me that this is the exception to the rule, and we get to make a show about it. I wish everybody, in their own way, was their own kind of Reacher. I want to live in that world.” His affirmation is delivered with the same amount of candor that he’s discussed any number of topics in recent interviews over the years, ranging from professional setbacks to mental health struggles. When our conversation turns to why he thinks it’s so important to be open about any subject under the sun, he elaborates without hesitation.“I have to believe that continuing to talk about what's important and what matters and what's real, and what might open up the world for people to experience justice, freedom, a more fair experience in life, all of that, more opportunity, more provision — if we can create a world where we talk that into existence, and I have maybe planted a little seed of that, I will feel like my life had real meaning and purpose.”

I interviewed Ali Hazelwood when #TheLoveHypothesis was first published, so it felt like a full-circle moment to get to review Prime Video’s adaptation, which has some third-act issues but is ultimately a successful experiment led by Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman:

I can't speak to how the #Outlander prequel series #BloodOfMyBlood will wrap up Season 2 since critics only got the first four episodes, but I really love how the spin-off is allowing its two leading heroines to drive more of the drama and the action:
