Ended up pinch-hitting a #ResidentEvil review for this week and walked away pleasantly surprised by Zach Cregger's lean, mean take on the iconic horror franchise, which loses some of its luster in the third act but is still anchored by a tremendous performance from Austin Abrams:

I can't speak to how the #Outlander prequel series #BloodOfMyBlood will wrap up Season 2 since critics only got the first four episodes, but I really love how the spin-off is allowing its two leading heroines to drive more of the drama and the action:

widows bay is incredible and the directing is a huge part of why but this emmy is actually for station eleven, fyi
