The current count of missing people in Venezuela is currently over 20 thousand. Yesterday's earthquake is the worst Venezuela has seen in recorded history. 250 Buildings collapsed, it was a holiday and raining. Many were indoors. Inflation, corruption and foreigners stealing. Our worst year yet.
The number of missing people has ascended to over 52 thousand people. The lack of posts about Venezuela in bsky is concerning. The final death toll is probably going to be between 30 thousand and 70 thousand people. This is a major tragedy.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
