thank you all for the positive response to these process posts! here’s another panel from “Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn,” where our badass Native American heroine) exacts some light revenge with a bone saw. Colors by @luisnct.eurosky.social, and written by @jimmypalmiotti.bsky.social
If and when a Democrat finally gets elected president, I hope the first executive order that they sign is to strap everyone who enabled this avalanche of scalding bullshit to a rocket and launch them directly into the sun. It's the only way to be sure.
One of best things about drawing “Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn” (besides drawing Spawn) is that I get to reference other iconic westerns. Here I referenced the final scene from “Butch Cassiday & the Sundance Kid” as the Gunslinger & Captain Ryan charge into group of bad guys, guns a-blazin’.
A while back I did some illustrations for a board game by Kingslayer Games, about ghosts and haunted places…The Orphan,The Playroom,The Pirate Captain, and The Ghost Ship. All of these are 8.5” by 8.5” and painted on illustration board. These are $150 each. Shoot me a direct message of interested!

Process for a cover I did a few years ago for “Skulldigger & Skeleton Boy,” a series created by @jefflemire171.bsky.social and @tozo.today and published by @darkhorse.com . Colors by Lee Loughridge.
Here’s the process of a recent cover I did for “Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn.” I start with a line drawing using a Mars Lumograph pencil on on hot press Crescent illustration board, put a layer of clear matte medium over it, then paint it with gouache. Colors by @luisnct.eurosky.social!
Got my first ever high five from my doctor and I cannot tell how weirdly excited and proud I am.
Hey y’all! I still have some 2.5” by 3.5” sketchcards for sale… featuring Godzilla, Batwoman, Pat Benatar, Solomon Grundy, The Black Flame, Pat Benatar, and Baba Yaga! I’m asking $60 for each of these, and if you’re interested just send me a DM and we can work out the details. Cheers!
The story that @cjward.bsky.social and I created for Batman: The Brave & the Bold” was unique in that some pages were drawn digitally and some were drawn/painted for emotional and narrative emphasis. This page was digital, & I got to cross “draw Batman crashing through a window” off my bucket list:]
Here’s the process for a splash establishing shot from “Blood Stained Teeth,” issue 1, co-created by @cjwardart and I. This was inked traditionally (yikes), and I was going for some gritty combination of Tokyo, Blade Runner, and Gotham City… I cannot get over Heather moore’s mind-blowing colors!
Here’s some more behind the scenes action from “Blood Stained Teeth,” created by me and @cjward.bsky.social This marked a bit of a transition for my process as I was still penciling traditionally, but dropping in stock photos and 3d models for backgrounds and inking over everything digitally.
This is a blast from the past! Back in the day i used to draw every panel traditionally, including the pencils, which was an insane amount of work. This one is from “Joe Golem & the Sunken Dead” issue 1, where our hero, Joe Golem, runs afoul of some zombies who have broken out of their holding tank.
More process! This time from “Batman: The Brave & The Bold” issue 18, written by @cjward.bsky.social, drawn and painted by me, colored by @luisnct.eurosky.social, lettered by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.
