Cedar-apple rust galls in Ithaca NY, a sure sign of spring! This amazing fungus (Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae) makes spores each spring that infect apple trees. From there, it makes new spores to reinfect cedar. Quite an evolutionary feat! #PlantDisease #PlantScience
