And that is why I'm bothered when people say "it is just a game", "stick to your OCs", "don't take it too seriously". Things like this MATTER. A LOT. And things change when WE COMPLAIN. When fans explain time and time again the problems with the narrative choices. Just accepting it does nothing.

Thoug obviously World of Warcraft is its own story devised of its own races - Trolls are heavily, HEAVILY relying on Cultures within the African Diaspora and indigenous global South.
