Good night, sweet prince. I can think of nothing more Patrick Stewart than his appearance on Sesame Street, matching a wry wit with Shakespearean perfection. Never met him, wish I had.

I'm really fucking devastated right now so instead here's the picture Patrick Stewart posted nearly 13 years ago to the day with the caption "happy halloween" of him dressed as a giant lobster in a bathtub.

"The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison! But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory" -- here's Obama's full riff about the "phony outrage" over his Trump/Cheesecake Factory comments and how it illustrates that "these are not serious people"

Two Roman lighthouses flanked the harbour at Dubris (Dover), the main base of the Roman fleet ‘Classis Britannica’. Here’s the ruin of one of the Roman lighthouses at Dover, still standing after almost 2,000 years! It’s the tallest surviving Roman structure in Britain! 1st-2nd century AD 📷 by me

My photo shows the ruin of an eight-sided Roman brick lighthouse with four stepped levels. There is a doorway at ground level. On the upper three levels there are narrow rectangular window openings. It stands 15.8 metres high and is 12.2 metres wide at the base. Roman brickwork survives to a height of 12.5 m. The brickwork of the uppermost level was reconstructed for use as a church bell tower for the adjacent Anglo-Saxon church of St Mary in Castro. The Pharos is dated 1st - early 2nd century AD and is one of a pair originally built on the headland flanking each side of the Roman port of Dubris (Dover). It now stands within the grounds of Dover Castle

This genus of man always looks peeled. Aggressively exfoliated and Brylcreemed. A man who looks as though he has just emerged, blinking and new, from a vat. The Jared Kushner school of grooming. A clean man, murderous and soft, tender as a boiled ham. No blood under the fingernails, not today.

Despite the agency's human resources department saying he hadn’t even been onboarded, Jeremy Lewin oversaw the destruction of USAID. It’s not clear he had the legal authority to do so.
