My aunt and her husband died in the Colombian earthquake, and they weren't just my aunt and uncle, but also my godparents. My cousin was injured and had to attend her parents' funeral in that state... I want to understand if there's some purpose in all of this, so complex and painful, but I can't.

When you don't think tragedy will strike, but it does... I just received news that two of my relatives died in the earthquake in Colombia. I don't know what to think, what to say, or what to believe. I just know I want to curl up and cry and never stop crying....

I have many differences with the Catholic Church, but something I must applaud right now is the work of the food banks. In Colombia, there are more than 20, and they are organizing effectively to deliver food to those affected by the earthquake. This is something to be grateful for.

I was so looking forward to this weekend because I was going on a trip. I say "was" because it's to one of the cities most affected by the earthquake, and of course the trip has just been canceled... and I don't care about the trip, I'm sad for the injured people, for the dead, for the damage caused
