Eight audio interviews complete in nine days. First evening off since last Friday. Amazing recorded chats with people involved in Leeds music, telling their stories. Lots of editing to start doing from Monday for 20. Four more interviews in the diary with a few more still to hopefully confirm.

Details on this year’s free alt music in Leeds audio trail will come next week. The artwork for the free maps, posters, etc, feature a punk/rave/goth-ed up version of one of our famous Leeds statues. However, she needed more spiky bits. Thought I’d try them on in Whitelock’s.

Choose Leeds tees are now with the retailer and tags have just arrived. I’m pretty excited for a Wednesday evening.
My friend is currently nearing the end of a 50-mile run in the Lakes, while I managed an equally impressive 12-mile trudge around the city centre.
In other news, I’m getting near to the end of the first run of my first product, the Leeds Goth enamel pin badge. Now a museum piece, only 500 classic badges (left) will ever exist. The new one (right) is smaller (and more elegant) with a raised, polished enamel face. I need to update my shop.
On Monday, I popped in to Northern Guitars for a long overdue official opening of the legendary Joseph’s Well venue sign I rescued in 2024. Huge thanks to Alex Sobel MP for doing the honours, and to Rick, Dave and Danny of Northern Guitars for arranging. I like to think we look like a band.
This first though. Eastenders needs a reboot, too.
