I am struggling to understand what it means to be 62 year old dude. I feel like the quality and texture of hope and expectation needs to change in significant way. Like: yeah, you're not going to get things that you thought you might get. I want to adjust my attitude about this, seriously.

I'm joining the war on slop with cheap, fast flyer commissions. If you know someone who is asking the computer for event posters, tell them to ask me instead. Get the guarantee!

A poster mocked up as if it was offset printed in black and red roughly 60 years ago. The header reads "AVAILABLE NOW! FLYERS DESIGNED BY A HUMAN BEING!" and the subsequent text is pitching $50 flyer designs with a "SLOP-FREE GUARANTEE," incorporating some vintage Henry Volk clipart of people looking at a poster and saying how well it reflects on the event organizer.

I feel like it's important to have daily contact with non-humans. Dogs, yes, cats, yes, but also plants--especially catci--urns or whatever, the glass on windows. Be aware of the furniture you're sitting in. Make a note of the things you touch, and how it feels to touch them.

There are a lot of ways to be online, but I am convinced that this is the way we should cultivate and cherish. Being earnest and open to positivity is an active practice that enriches all of our lives.

Hate to admit it, but crafting an online persona that errs on the sides of positivity, hope, and (self) compassion has really moved the needle on shifting my real mindsets towards positivity, hope, and (self) compassion.

Just saw Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma and really loved it. There’s a breezy joyfulness like a pleasant shroom trip—and Gillian Anderson photographs welll
