Farage looks like a man who tried to nonchalantly jump over a low wall to take a shortcut, caught his leg on it and almost fell over, then tried to style it out while also looking accusingly at the wall, before walking off, trying to hide a limp.

FIFA is right, there has been a ‘concerted effort to undermine’ Infantino. For good reason and entirely because of his own corrupt, unethical, and unprofessional behaviour. Not really sure how the accusation of a campaign against him counts as a criticism or defence.

When the story of why humanity didn't stop climate change is written, it will feature front pages like this. Even as the skies blacken with climate change-induced wildfires, right wing media continue their relentless crusade against measures to tackle it.

The Times: Net zero risks blackouts. Below a photo of French wildfires.

What they don't teach you about heatwaves: It's not just heat. It's: • Your crops dying • Your river drying (Rhine is low again, disrupting shipping) • Your lungs burning from wildfire smoke • Your power grid collapsing It's everything at once.

The most powerful people in our society are spending hundreds of billions of dollars in the attempt to make artificial human minds, while millions of real human minds are being left to die of disease, starvation and conflict. Of all the sick things about the “AI” quest, that is the sickest.

More war crimes: In its fourth strike on water infrastructure, the US has destroyed two water tanks in Sirik, Iran, completely cutting off water distribution in all villages of the Bemani district and the city of Kohstak, the Hormozgan Water and Sanitation Authority says.

Nigel Farage vs "the establishment" He went to private school, worked as a stockbroker, has been a professional politician for 31 years, has his own TV show, is a brand ambassador for gold, is mates with POTUS, accepted a secret £5m gift, and owns five houses bought outright with cash What a rebel

The question for Nigel Farage now is whether it's less embarrassing to un-resign and claim that was an establishment stitchup, or to spend a month competing with a bin. Neither is exactly a *great* option. Neither solves his ongoing scandals. And it's a mess entirely of his own making.

🚨 Exclusive: The White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card. FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee.

With hardly any media coverage one of Britain’s few world-leading sectors is, right now, being decimated. The university funding model does not work and anti-immigrant hysteria has deprived the country of the means by which we met the shortfall: international students.

A grim day in a grim week in a grim month for UK higher education, with Dundee, Exeter and Hertfordshire all making major announcements of planned redundancies. Shrinkage of the research & teaching base by the invisible hand's visible fist is not an 'us' or 'them', SHAPE or STEM phenomenon. 1/2

It's very funny that Musk is not a trillionaire any more but also the fact you can supposedly gain and lose three hundred billion in a week should really hammer home that the economy is fully imaginary
