Today I visited Wembley Fire Station and met the Borough Commander for Brent. We had a productive discussion on key fire safety issues, including hoarding, improving fire safety in homes, the impact of climate change, and the growing risk of fires caused by lithium-ion batteries.

Jay Jagganath! Amazing Rath Yatra procession from Kenton Tempt to Stanmore Temple
A photo from a roundtable meeting investigating how we can open up school sports facilities. Too many pitches, sports halls and pools sit empty outside school hours. Let's unlock these assets and get more Londoners active. Read the full report here www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/w...
Wonderful to join the community to celebrate the 14th anniversary of Kenton’s Mahavir Foundation Temple. For over a decade, this beautiful space has been a cornerstone of peace and devotion. Thanks to the trustees and volunteers for their warm hospitality! 🙏🏽 #JaiJinendra
An absolute privilege to be at a special service for Armed Forces Day at City Hall today. It is a brilliant opportunity to show our gratitude and recognise the incredible dedication of our service personnel, veterans, and their families. Thank you for everything you do. 🇬🇧 #ArmedForcesDay

A humbling experience visiting the Listening Place and meeting their CEO Ben Ingber alongside staff and volunteers. The charity provides crucial support to people with suicidal feelings. Grateful for the non-judgmental support they provide to Londoners so that they can turn their lives around.
Great to be at the We Restart Charity art hub in Wembley alongside @barrygardiner.bsky.social The charity does fantastic work helping migrants settle into their new communities through drama, art, storytelling and English language classes, building confidence, skills and connections along the way.
Wishing everyone celebrating Eid al-Adha in Brent, Harrow and beyond a joyful and peaceful Eid Mubarak. May this special time bring happiness to your families, strengthen our communities, and remind us of the values of compassion, sacrifice and generosity that are at the heart of Eid.
At a time when many Jewish Londoners are feeling vulnerable, partnership working with the Police is incredibly important. I raised the experiences at Kenton Synagogue and the powerful words of Rabbi Black at Mayor's Question Time recently with @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social
A number of North Harrow residents have said they were not aware that Cllr Jackson had been suspended from his party as he was listed as a Conservative on the ballot paper. How this man was selected as a candidate remains an unanswered question #northharrrow #harrow #racism
Shocking to see at May's elections that candidates with racist views were elected. It's important that parties vet their candidates properly and take swift action when abhorrent views are uncovered. Sadly in Harrow a Councillor with disgusting views, put forward by the Conservatives, was elected.
Great to meet at the Kensal Rise Methodist Church alongside Cllr Muhammed Butt celebrating the 126th Anniversary of the Church. The occasion was marked with an amazing community concert with various performances. 🎶

Proud to see coverage of the new Anti-Hindu Hate Crime Monitor in mainstream media. The reporting tool is an important and much-needed step forward for Hindu communities across the Country as without reliable data, we cannot even begin to tackle this issue. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Following the launch of the new Anti-Hindu Hate Monitor I called on the Mayor of London @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social to ensure the Met Police collaborates to tackle issues that arise from reports. Glad to hear the Mayor recognise and confirm his support to tackle this unacceptable hate crime.
What an incredible week celebrating 20 years of Shree Swaminarayan Temple Stanmore. Truly blessed to also see a copy of the original Shikshaptri written by Lord Swaminarayan at the Temple on loan from The Bodleian Library where it is permanently kept. 🙏Jay Shree Swaminarayan 🙏
It was great to visit and speak to so many different community groups as part of the Stories of Harrow project at Headstone Manor - showcasing the many different communities who have come to Harrow and made the area their home.
Delighted to attend 20th Anniversary celebrations of Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Stanmore and Darshan of original Shikshapatri. @gareththomasmp.bsky.social @krupesh.co.uk @navinshah-cbe.bsky.social @HarrowLabour #JaiSwaminarayan 🙏
