An interesting phenomenon occurred in the southern Baltic Sea / Arkona Basin Thursday evening into Friday, coinciding with thunderstorms passing by. A local 'meteotsunami' was observed by tide gauges, starting from Warnemünde (Rostock) and faintly measured all the way up in Stockholm.

Now that it's May, post-rains begin to smell like summer, leaves begin forming, and thunderstorms begin lighting up the skies. So, how does the 2026 tornado forecast for Denmark look like? Here's a forecast from DNSROP.

As Storm Dave (or "Påskeorkanen") continues its eastward movement through Scandinavia, we're starting to tally up the damage done in Denmark. With peak recorded gusts of 36 m/s, possibly higher unrecorded, it brought with it some intense damage. Damage is provided below.

Two funnel clouds today as intense thunderstorms traversed Sjælland (Zealand). Touchdown possible, as damage has been found (Img. #3).
