I recently had 3 artworks on display as part of a group show entitled ‘InterWOVEN’. The exhibition referenced Linen heritage in a contemporary context. The pieces are distinctly different, but they all explore topics of deep ecology, mapping relationships and a deep grá, love, for the flax plant 🩵

The area where the ✨Archipelago Festival of Colour✨ will happen boasts deposits of red Antrim ochre, known locally as ‘boles’. This iron ore is internationally recognised in both the fields of geology and artists pigment hunters as a rich source of ancient pigment 🧡

Earlier today I was ironing out the details of one of the workshops for the ✨Archipelago Festival of Colour✨ with the facilitators and we’re all super excited for it! All I’ll say for now is it involves wild clays and mineral pigments 🖤🤎🧡🤍 #spéirgorm #spéirghorm #naturalpigments
